The Thistle .. Scotland’s Symbol
The Thistle represents Nobility and Graciousness.
Inspired by my Grandmother and my mother’s love for the Thistle. The thistle was my Grandmothers symbol and signature for all her ceramic pieces.
These beautiful earrings were hand painted by me, my grandmothers namesake.
These earrings have been hand painted on surgical stainless steel, oval shaped bezels.
I painted the base with a pearl white, then topped that with a tiny Thistle. The Thistle is painted with blue and a hint of lavender.
I then seal these with resin.
Resin not only seals and protects them but it makes them Waterproof as well. It’s not recommended to use harsh chemicals.
The earrings and the wires are both made with surgical stainless steel.
